New University Village restaurant will have a unique feature (Photos)

Poke Noke, which will open soon in University Village, is characterized as “fast-casual.” But local artist Maren Conrad says customers should still expect “the ambiance of a five-star restaurant.”

That’s largely due to the fine-art mural Conrad is painting on one of the restaurant’s walls. When it’s finished, it will depict eight koi fish. The fish represent Poke Noke principal owner Jimmy Khov’s eight family members who came to the U.S. from Cambodia.
